Setting Up Your First Channel Follow

Updated 2026-04-20

Setting up your first channel takes about a minute. Here's the end-to-end walkthrough, with the small URL-format mistakes that trip people up on day one.

Before you start

  • An account with an active free trial or paid plan.
  • The full URL of the channel you want to follow, copied from the platform itself.
  • About one minute.

You can follow channels on Bigo, TikTok, Twitch, Kick, and SOOPLIVE. Each platform has its own URL format — the in-app form shows the exact format for each, and the per-platform pages walk through it in detail.

Step 1 — Open the Followed Channels page

Sign in and go to Followed Channels in the sidebar. You'll see your current follow count against your plan's limit (5 for Basic, 20 for Standard, 100 for Premium) and an Add Channel form.

Step 2 — Paste the channel URL

Open the platform in another tab, navigate to the channel or live page, and copy the URL from the address bar. Paste it into the Add Channel input.

The form validates the URL format on the spot. Three common mistakes to avoid:

  • Pasting a clip or video URL instead of the channel URL. We need a URL that points to the channel itself.
  • Including query parameters or hash fragments. Strip anything after the username.
  • Wrong platform host. Each platform has a canonical host; the form accepts that one.

Step 3 — Submit

Press Add. The channel is added to your follow list immediately, and we start watching for live broadcasts.

What happens next

When the channel goes live, recording starts automatically within one to two minutes. You don't need to keep StreamRokuo open — we keep watching even when you close the app.
